There is no Buddy Program this week, Tuesday, December 20 or Wednesday, December 21, because of the pending holiday.
Going to be Absent?? PLEASE TELL THE BUDDY PROGRAM!
If you or your student is going to be absent from the Buddy Program, please kindly alert the organizers by emailing [email protected].
High school stduetns are making themselves available to tutor you or your student and if you are unable to make it and do not inform them, they come for no reason.
The Jones Foundation Buddy Program will allow you to receive help with your string instrument from Walled Lake Western’s top orchestra members. There are many reasons to join the buddy program. No payment is required, it is open to all grades, and most of all, it's fun!
The Buddy Program will help provide a challenge for students who wish to be challenged, along with a confidence boost for those who may not be 100% confident while playing. The Buddy Program will operate on a weekly schedule as well as having a sign-up to work with a mentor the week before a playing test. This is a great opportunity for the middle school players to learn from students who were in their shoes a few years before. Feel free to have a trial lesson. This does not replace a private teacher, however, it provides a unique learning opportunity to work one on one with a high school student, and helps to reinforce the concepts taught in class. Lessons will be held in the Geisler orchestra room.
